VMware Tanzu Support

24/7 VMware Tanzu Support with a 15-Minute Emergency SLA

AceMQ is Broadcom's VMware Expert Advantage Partner of the Year for the Americas, 2025. We support Tanzu Application Service, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, and the Tanzu data services — including RabbitMQ, GemFire, Greenplum, and Postgres — plus the Broadcom licensing and entitlement problems that block your upgrades. Every ticket reaches a named senior engineer.

Escalation Path

Your first hour of a VMware Tanzu outage

Most vendors publish an SLA number. This is what actually happens, minute by minute, when you page a senior AceMQ engineer.

T+0

You page us

Phone, email, or Slack — any channel reaches the on-call senior engineer directly. No web form, no tier-1 queue.

T+15

Named engineer live

A senior engineer who already knows your environment joins a live bridge. Zero cold-start, no re-explaining your topology.

T+30

Root cause isolated

Direct broker access, log and metric review, and a working hypothesis with a rollback plan before we touch anything.

Post

Written RCA

Documented root cause, the fix applied, and the prevention steps — delivered after every P1, not just when asked.

Response Times

SLA tiers, contractually guaranteed

Every tier reaches a senior VMware Tanzu engineer. There is no tier-1 triage layer to get through.

P1 — Emergency
15 min

Production down, messages not flowing, cluster or broker failure

P2 — Critical
1 hour

Severe degradation, rising error rates, approaching capacity limits

P3 — High
4 hours

Performance issues, configuration problems, non-critical failures

P4 — Standard
Next day

Questions, guidance, best practices, non-urgent improvements

Incident Triage

VMware Tanzu problems we fix every week

These are real symptoms from real VMware Tanzu production environments — and the first thing our engineers check when one comes in.

Tanzu Application Service app instances crash-looping after a platform upgrade
What we check firstThe stack and buildpack versions the app was staged against. A cflinuxfs upgrade changes the rootfs beneath apps that were never restaged, so binary dependencies compiled against the old stack fail at start with errors that point nowhere useful.
Typical resolution1-3 hours
BOSH deploy hangs on an instance group that never reports running
What we check firstThe failing job's pre-start and monit output on the VM itself, plus IaaS-level quota and placement. A vSphere resource pool at capacity or an exhausted IP block stalls a deploy in a way the BOSH task log describes only as a timeout.
Typical resolution2-4 hours
Tanzu downloads or upgrades blocked — entitlement not recognized
What we check firstWhich Broadcom site account the entitlement actually sits under after the portal migration. Perpetual VMware entitlements, subscription SKUs, and support contracts frequently land on separate accounts, so the person doing the download has no visible entitlement to a product you own.
Typical resolutionSame day
Tanzu RabbitMQ Operator reconcile loop — cluster never reaches ready
What we check firstOperator logs against the CRD version and the StatefulSet's current state. An immutable field changed in the custom resource, or an operator upgraded ahead of its CRDs, leaves reconcile retrying forever while the cluster sits in a partial state.
Typical resolution1-3 hours
Broker latency spikes on vSphere with guest CPU showing idle
What we check firstCPU ready time and co-stop at the host level, not in-guest metrics. An oversubscribed cluster or an oversized vCPU count makes the VM wait for scheduling, which appears as broker latency and network timeouts while every in-guest dashboard looks healthy.
Typical resolution2-4 hours
TKG workload cluster stuck in an incomplete upgrade or provisioning state
What we check firstCluster API controller logs on the management cluster and the machine objects that never went Ready. A stale or expired node image template, or a cloud-provider credential that rotated, halts the rollout mid-flight with healthy-looking control plane nodes.
Typical resolution2-4 hours
Service bindings fail after a Tanzu data services tile upgrade
What we check firstBroker catalog and plan GUIDs against what the marketplace still advertises. A plan removed or renamed in the new tile version leaves existing bindings orphaned, so apps restart into a missing credential rather than a clear error.
Typical resolutionUnder 2 hours
License compliance flagged in an audit for VMs you thought were covered
What we check firstCore counts and cluster boundaries against the current Broadcom subscription model. Post-acquisition licensing counts differently than the perpetual model most estates were sized under, and host-level changes made after renewal are the usual source of an unexpected gap.
Typical resolutionSame day

Resolution times reflect typical VMware Tanzu engagements under an active AceMQ support contract. Every P1 closes with a written root-cause analysis.

What's Included

Everything in your VMware Tanzu support contract

No add-on pricing for incidents. No per-ticket charges. One contract covers the whole surface.

Emergency Incident Response

Platform down, apps failing to stage, a foundation that won't deploy, or a data service cluster offline. A senior engineer joins a live bridge within 15 minutes with access to diagnose — not a ticket acknowledgement.

Root Cause Analysis

Every P1 closes with a written RCA: what failed, why, the fix applied, and the tile, manifest, or platform change that prevents recurrence. Delivered as standard, not on request.

Broadcom Escalation Path

As Expert Advantage Partner of the Year for the Americas, we escalate into Broadcom engineering through partner channels when a defect is genuinely upstream — rather than leaving you to argue severity with a support portal.

Licensing & Entitlement Resolution

Portal migrations, split site accounts, subscription conversions, and core-count questions. We untangle which entitlement covers which product and get the download or support contract working again.

Tanzu Data Services Support

Tanzu RabbitMQ, GemFire, Greenplum, Postgres, Valkey, and Spring. Cluster operations, operator behavior, upgrade paths, and the tuning that platform-level support does not reach.

Upgrade & Migration Planning

Foundation upgrade sequencing, TKG version paths, TAS to Kubernetes migration where that's the right call, and honest advice about the parts of your Tanzu estate worth keeping.

Anywhere You Run It

We support VMware Tanzu wherever it's deployed

Cloud, Kubernetes, bare metal, hybrid, and air-gapped — including environments where you can't give us outbound network access.

Why AceMQ

What you get that you don't get elsewhere

Broadcom Expert Advantage Partner of the Year

Americas, 2025. That recognition comes from delivered outcomes on real Tanzu estates, and it gives us partner-level escalation into Broadcom engineering when an issue is genuinely a product defect rather than a configuration problem.

Named Engineers, Zero Cold Start

The same senior engineers stay on your account. They know your foundation layout, your tile versions, and your vSphere topology — so a P1 call starts with diagnosis, not twenty minutes of you explaining your environment.

No Tier-1 Triage Layer

You reach a senior Tanzu engineer directly by phone, email, or Slack. No help desk collecting information to pass along, no case that sits in a queue overnight, and no escalation approval standing between you and someone who can fix it.

Deepest Bench on Tanzu RabbitMQ

We are the number one RabbitMQ partner globally with direct access to the RabbitMQ core team. For estates where Tanzu RabbitMQ carries production traffic, that is a materially different level of support than generalist platform coverage.

Genuine Follow-the-Sun Coverage

Engineers across 26+ countries and every time zone. Your 3am foundation incident is someone's mid-afternoon — no overnight skeleton crew, no waiting for a region to wake up.

We Handle the Licensing Conversation

The Broadcom transition moved entitlements, changed metering, and split site accounts. Much of what blocks Tanzu teams now is commercial rather than technical, and we resolve both instead of pointing you at a different vendor contact.
