Yes. We work with open-source Redis Community Edition (all versions), Redis Enterprise on-prem and cloud, Amazon ElastiCache, Azure Cache for Redis and Azure Managed Redis, and Google Memorystore. Our engineers are platform-agnostic and recommend the right deployment model for your requirements.

Redis Ltd publishes list prices only for Redis Cloud, its hosted service. Its pricing page (redis.io/pricing, checked 20 October 2026) shows a free plan up to 30 MB, Essentials from $0.007 an hour ($5 a month at the entry size) on shared infrastructure, and Pro from $0.014 an hour with a $200 monthly minimum for dedicated deployments. Redis Software, the edition you run on your own servers, has no public price: on-premises and hybrid deployments are sold on an annual plan through Redis sales, so the figure depends on your quote. AceMQ supports Redis Enterprise estates as well as open-source Redis and Valkey, and can set a renewal quote against the cost of running the open-source engine with support.

Independent Redis support providers, AceMQ among them, cover open-source Redis and Valkey wherever it runs, on your own servers, in Kubernetes or on a managed service, with a contracted response time and a named engineer. And in-house teams, which is fine until the failure nobody has seen. Judge any Redis support provider on version coverage, whether open source is in scope, and who actually answers a P1. Yes. Yes, and the licence is now part of that decision. Redis 7.2 and earlier are BSD licensed; from 7.4 Redis moved to RSALv2 and SSPLv1, and Redis 8 added AGPLv3 as a third option; Valkey stays BSD. Redis Software adds commercial features and vendor support from Redis Ltd. We compare them against your workload, client libraries, compliance position and cloud plans, and say plainly when a migration is not worth doing.

Most production Redis incidents come from a short list: memory pressure and eviction that removes hot keys before their TTL; latency spikes from fork pauses during RDB snapshots or AOF rewrites; slow O(N) commands such as KEYS or an unbounded SMEMBERS blocking the single-threaded command loop; replicas that fall behind the replication backlog and force repeated full resyncs; and failovers where the client keeps writing to the old primary. Cluster resharding that leaves a slot uncovered is the usual cause of CLUSTERDOWN. Each has a first diagnostic step, and the Redis support page sets them out symptom by symptom.

Partly. In Redis Open Source, 6.0 is no longer supported and is past end of life. Redis 6.2 is an extended release supported until 1 April 2027, according to the Redis version management page (checked 20 October 2026), and after that date no Redis 6 version receives upstream security fixes. AceMQ supports the version you run, plans the upgrade, and where you need CVE patches on 6.2.x or 7.0.x before you can move, backports them through OSSeva.
